    Description

    Offered here is a superb example of an original 1783 Treaty of Paris tin medal with the copper plug inserted at the mint prior to striking to retard that notorious tin pest. It worked well with no sign of tin pest after more than 230 years. I could write a description, but the last 2 scans are from Betts book and describe the medal better than I. My only comment is it is rare especially in this superb condition. I have only seen an inferior example for sale here at 5. Mine is a higher grade and a lot less. See the scans.
