Description
This is a really nice and rare (rarity 5 or 4 depending on your source) Connecticut Copper from 1786.It's Variety is attributed by me as Miller variety "M5.8-0.2", which a super tough to find Rarity 4, according to the Miller book, But I thought I saw other publications show it as a rarity 5.
The date is faint, and hard to read, partly due to some planchet porosity in that area. Also, there's an old scratch in upper right on the non date side of the coin.
The planchet is a pleasing dark brown in color and nice in my opinion. It has lots of detail remaining!
It weighs about 8.6 grams
A really nice, tough to find Connecticut copper!
