    Description

Up for your consideration is this rare New Jersey cent attributed as the M.19-M. It is known as the Drunken die cutter variety because of the way the horse head is tilted on the design. The coin generally has smooth hard surfaces with areas of patchy porosity and a small rim ding at the lower reverse which aren't distracting and only mentioned for accuracy. The die state has the bulge forming over the plow handles and plow beam. The color is a two tone with light and dark contrast which gives it a handsome look.
