    1787 Machin's Mills Copper  Vlack 19-87C  R-4
    A  smooth planchet with a very lite scratch on the Rev.  probably caused by a staple. (I cannot understand WHY DEALERS and collectors put coins in holders that need to be stapled.  But that is not a topic for here).  Small rim bump at "X" of REX Obv.
    Capt. Thomas Machin and company ran an illegal mint striking copper coins on Orange Lake in Newburgh NY.
