    Description

PCGS authenticated and graded VF 20. There are a couple tiny nicks on the portrait around the ear and a light, shallow scrape on the cheek that blend in well. There is also a thin planchet lamination on the reverse from the rim at the first star through the legs to the shield. The obverse die is bulged and sunken around CONNEC, typical for this variety, otherwise the legends and date are full. The reverse shows bulging and incused dentils around Liberty's head as well as in the field between D and the branch hand. This is the plate coin in Breen's Encyclopedia for Breen #869 in the Connecticut Section. Condition Census level for the variety.
