    Description

This is a rare silver members medal for the Birmingham Pitt club. Excellent condition, with just minimum wear and marks. The obverse has Pitt, draped bust facing left with legend around.  "NON SIBI SED PATRIAE" Maker Webb at bottom.
The reverse within an oak wreath legend reads in 3 lines "BIRMINGHAM / PITT - CLUB / MDCCXIV" = 1814.
A lovely silver medal about 50.5mm with old silver toning that is just what it should be. Not as nice as my Manchester medal, but a whole lot less money.
This was once part of my anti slavery collection as Pitt was a proponent of ending that horrible business and lectured often against it.
I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no.
