7 Stars & 7 Arrows
GIRL SCOUT MEMBERSHIP PIN
In 1923, this new design was issued.  With a few exceptions, the embossed areas were often worn and/or completely illegible making the ones in excellent condition very difficult to find -- now almost 100 years later.  All had 7 stars, and the most common variation is the one with 8 arrows (on another listing.) There is no hallmark and they all have a "bent wire" catch (Looks like a J-hook but with TWO bent pieces joined together.)  It seemed that the 7 stars were the first detail to wear down to the point of looking like no stars were ever there.  The arrows went next which often blurred the count making it hard to tell the 7 arrows from the 8 arrows.
NOTICE:
the last two pictures that were taken from my collection, -- Not for Sale.  Both have gold content and you can clearly see the difference.  I have only a few with 7 arrows making them more expensive than the 8 arrows, but I'll have to change the picture for each listing because they vary extensively.
