The main interest of the documents for the Jewish Historical Society of England arises from the fresh light they shed on the early history of the present Anglo-Jewish community and on the circumstances which brought about the Resettlement of the Jews in this country during the Commonwealth." Covering the years 1499-1818, documenting the persecution of the Jews by the Spanish. With large fold-out map in rear. Translated from the Spanish and edited with an introduction by Lucien Wolf.
