1948 Israel Independence Declared Event Poster, At The Hollywood Bowl.

Extremely Rare 1948 Poster Celebrating The Declared Independence Of Jewish Palestine, And Announcing A Mass Meeting For Haganah. The poster event is dated May 19, just four days after Israel announced its independence on May 15.  Actor and Comedian Eddie Cantor, Reuven Dafni (Haganah Officer and War Hero), and other celebrities not yet announced, were to speak and entertain at the event, which was held at the world famous Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood California.  There was no admission charge and an attendance of 25000 was expected, but newspapers indicated the number was much smaller.  The poster is printed on cardboard, by Myer Show Print Co. Los Angeles, and guaranteed to be absolutely Original, Genuine, and of the period.  It is 14" by 22" in size, printed blue on white, and in excellent condition, with light aging and two minor corner creases.  I should also add, that there is an extraneous light blue ink smudge in the middle of the poster, because of the haste in printing the posters.  I acquired the poster many years ago, and have not seen another poster for this event since then, it may be the only one like it in existence.
