Due to the large 20 x 2.5 inch housing you get a greater filtration surface area! Combined in the cartridge is an outer layer of 70 microns, in addition to a bed of granular activated carbon (GAC). Included is a 25 micron spun polypropylene core, for efficient filtration capabilities. The radial flow material significantly reduces carbon fines in your water.
