an ornamental centerpiece for a dining table, typically used for holding fruit and/or flowers.
This classic Egermann hand made crystal centerpiece is finished in a wine red color and delightfully embellished with cut to clear and etched baroque pattern.
Skillfully executed pattern incorporates scrolls and
wonderful outdoor scenes with a bird and a deer.
The epergne stands 14 1/2" high and the diameter at the opening 10 3/4".
This epergne is in excellent condition except it is missing the centerpiece that goes inside the bowl.
There is some hard water deposit on the inside of the hole inside the bottom of the epergne.

decorated glass manufacture.
Its products have utility, decorative and highly art-oriented character.
This is from the unique products of the incomparable series Egermann,
called after the inventor of the decorating technology, Mr. Friedrich Egermann (1777 - 1864)
from Nový Bor.
The dark ruby red colouring on the glass surface is decorated by baroque patterns
using cutting and engraving. The EGERMANN Co. is the main world manufacturer
using the red staining decoration
