The NYP N-X-211 designed by Donald Hall for Ryan Airlines in 1927, flown by Charles Lindbergh, first solo trans-Atlantic flight May 20-21, 1927, Long Island, N.Y. to Paris, 3800 miles, 33 hours-30 minutes. Lindbergh thus won the Orteiga Prize of ,000. It is on display at the Smithsonian Institution.
