Bachmann Mini Planes: Manufactured during the 1970s - are Vintage Collector’s pieces. ‘Water slide’ Decals deteriorate with age. Note photos for specifics.
Designed by Donald Douglas in 1935, 607 were produced until 1942. Military production of the C-47 ‘Skytrain’/’Dakota’ totaled 16,000.
During Vietnam, 53 were modified as the AC-47 ‘Spooky’ or ‘Puff The Magic Dragon’ gunships. In 2017 over 300 were still flying.
