    Description

This neat old copper piece with a clock face design is about half penny sized and may have circulated as coinage.  It looks quite old and by appearances I date it to the 18th century Georgian / Colonial era.  I spent some time pondering what this could be and it occurred to me that it may be an antique pocket sun dial...?
Though searching the internet I have not been able to find another like it.  There is faint lettering on the central highpoints visible on one side and it appear to read possibly... MOORE and LONDON.  I am more confident in the LONDON and the other word could be something else.
If anyone recognizes this item please let me know!  It is sized about 28mm & 5.0g. and the flan is a bit uneven/buckled.
