The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) was established in 1948.
All Girl Scouts and All Girl Guides all over the world wear the pin with this symbol
(although it was updated in the 1990s.)
This particular style is Girl Scout catalog number 9-685.   These enamel pins are much more sturdy and not prone to chipping like the previous painted ones, and they are smooth across the face rather than embossed.   These have a sturdy J-hook, and are on the original cards.
