    Description

    Up for your consideration is a FENDER DELUXE JAZZ BASS V.  I picked this up for my son and he's just not wild about the 5 string (he plays a 4).  Judging from the serial # (which I partially covered to prevent any forgeries - I've actually heard of this happening), it's a 1999/2000 model made in Mexico and in really, really good condition.  There are no cracks, or dents; the black paint just easily shows smudges and dust and fingerprints.  The frets are in great shape (see pic) and there are no neck pocket finish cracks like you see on a lot of bolt-on necks.  The active pickups are loud and the controls work as they should.  It's all original, with the exception of the heavier, black bridge (see pic - I don't have the original).
    Included is a Wolfpack semi-hard case that's a lot better than the Fender gig bags you usually see these in.  The case is a little worn and scuffed on the outside, but it does its job and has a lot of zippered pockets and compartments for storage.  The guitar alone weights about 10.5 lbs.
    I've just set this up with a new set of
    D'Addario EPS170-5 5-String ProSteels Bass Guitar Strings, 45-130 (see pic).  It's set up well for me, but the buyer, of course, might need to made adjustments to his or her tastes.  S & H is a flat to the
    continental U.S. only, please, and it will be professionally packaged and insured.  Shipping costs have really gone up lately and it will surely cost quite a bit more to ship, but I'll eat the rest.  Feel free to check my feedback and ask any question.  Thanks for checking it out!
