Gott Mit Uns belt buckle German/Prussian - Navy/Kriegsmarine/Colonial issue

Description

A WWI-era issue belt buckle issued to the German/Prussian Kriegsmarine or Colonial troops.
In nice functional condition. There is some gunk on the buckle which I believe comes from oil used to treat the leather belt.
It should clean up nicely.
Researching the piece, I think the leather tab is original, but the belt most likely is not.
