Since the beginning of the Bass Work Shop project in 2014, we have been offering the BTB SC, a single-cut model developed with the theme of "the longest sustain BTB".
The BTB865SC & BTB866SC are 2022 models that inherit this concept and have been redesigned to be even easier to play and have a new sound.
The BTB865SC and BTB866SC have been significantly updated with new frets, fretboard and body material combinations, pickups, EQ, and finger lamps.

Single-cut BTB 6-string model with rich sustain
Long sustain, rich resonance, and rigid through-neck construction
5-pc neck made of maple and hard walnut for clear sound image and attack. The rigidity is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck back across the entire fretboard range is the greatest feature of the BTB bass.
35" extra long scale adds sufficient tension and clarity in the low register to the LOW-B.
Single-cut body with ash top and laminated wing wings made of ocoume wood and ash.
The double-winged wing body sandwiches the neck and is made of a combination of ash and okoume wood, which has a clear, crisp sound and is rich in mid-range and low register characteristics.
The 6th string side is a single-cut body with the body and neck jointed at the 12th fret, without a cutaway, in order to achieve the body's resonance and longer sustain.
The back side of the upper horn has a scoop contour finish to improve accessibility.
Bartolini® BH2 pickups
The Bartolini® BH2 pickups are equipped with a tight bottom end, rich midrange, and well-balanced warm response.
■MR5 (monorail) bridge
Each string is independent of the other, allowing the string vibration to be transmitted directly to the body.
Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch & EQ bypass switch
The equalizer produces an active sound with a wide range and low noise, and the midrange frequency can be switched between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz by toggling the switch. (006P battery powered)
Zero fretting for accurate intonation and minimal difference between open/pressed string sounds.
Finger ramps for stable form and improved playability
The lamps are specially shaped and matte black in color as standard equipment. （The fingerlamps are specially shaped, matte black in color, and come standard (already affixed and cannot be removed).
Stainless steel frets for bright sound quality and high durability
