This is an anthology of poems written by the most knew and important Israeli poets about the city of Jerusalem.
The book was edited by Colonel Mordechai Bar-On (1928-), as Chief Officer of Education in Zahal (IDF).
The poems were selected and edited by Menachem Peri (1942-).
The book was illustrated with reproductions in black and white made by the Israeli artist Samuel Bak (1933-).
The book includes works written by Israeli poets like Yehuda Amichai (1924-2000), Jacob Fichman (1881-1958), Yocheved Bat-Miriam (1901-1980), Haim Guri (1923-), and more.
This special book is a First Edition and was given as a present to an officer who fought in the Six Days War with The Jerusalem Brigade of Zahal (IDF).
The book has a commemorative label (The 20 Anniversary of the State of Israel) who was signed (probably with automatic pen) by Colonel Eliezer Amitai (1925-2013), the commandant of the Jerusalem Brigade during The Six Days War.
