    Judaica book 11 scarce Yiddish Childrens primers 1920s – 1930s
    A beautiful assortment of vintage and scarce collection of vintage children’s primers printed between 1920 -1938. With lovely and attractive whimsical illustrations depicting American Jewish life in America during the 1920s and 1930s.
    These were used in Talmud Torah’s all over North America. All are hard cover, and all are in various states of in near fine condition to fair condition. Some have the handwritten names written by children in the front end pages, and some have underlines or children's scrawls and some are in fine condition with no marks.
    The title’s are scarce and are hard to come by and one has the signature of a child who grew up to become a world famous physician. See below. A charming collection.

He is one of Canada’s most distinguished ophthalmologic writers and surgeons. Kwitko was the first doctor in Canada to insert intraocular lens implants during cataract surgery (1967) and the first doctor in Canada to perform radial keratotomy surgery (1979)

    The International Workers Order (IWO) was an insurance, mutual benefit and fraternal organization founded in 1930 and disbanded in 1954 as the result of legal action undertaken by the state of New York in 1951 on the grounds that the organization was too closely linked to the Communist Party. At its height in the years immediately following World War II, the IWO reached nearly 200,000 members and provided low-cost health and life insurance, medical and dental clinics, and supported foreign-language newspapers, cultural and educational activities.
