Signed by Artist | Rare Find!

Leona Fein's square plate is a glass work of art
    featuring a reproduction of
a religious manuscript, individually crafted by using an
    18th century art form
    known at Potichomania,
    whereby pictures and brightly
    colored pieces of
    paper
are adhered to the underside of clear glass
    • This plate has a raised edge and wide rim, the image in the center is from
Sefer Ha-Ikkarim of Joseph Albo, book I, Frontispiece, Florence, Italy 1460
    • The gold Hebrew letters hold the opening word yedi'at ("knowledge of the
fundamental principles upon which laws are based is both easy and difficult")
of the first treatise of the Book Of Principles, a philosophic treatise on articles of
faith by the 15th century Spanish Jewish philosopher and preacher, Joseph Albo
    • Measures approximately 9-3/4"x 9-3/4"
    • The piece is signed and includes a
small card stating that this piece was crafted
    by Leona Fein
    and her
    handwritten
description of what the image is
    • This vintage, pre-owned collectible is in excellent, well preserved
condition with no cracks, chips, or structural damage
-Now retired, Leona Fein has spent a lifetime collecting Jewish manuscripts and incorporating
