    Description

    Lot of 8 terrific old coppers!  Includes 3 farthings and 5 halfpennies. Sized about 22mm-28mm & 3.1g.-9.4g.  Issues of King George II and King George III. All these coins are well circulated, some with damage, and some the dates are not clear but they appear to be as follows:
    Farthings
    George II: c. 1730s.  This coin has some damage and the last digit of the date is unclear.
    George III: c. 1770s.  This coin has environmental damage and the date is unclear.  It looks like it was a dug find / detecting find.  It is quite lightweight and may be a non regal issue.  Also a 1773 with a clear date and nice detail - it is slightly bent/warped.
    Halfpennies
    George II 1732 1743 1751, also an interesting brassy metal composition coin that looks to be cast. Note the cud-like mark on the edge that is probably where the casting sprue was.  The date is unclear - possibly 1753?
    George III 1771
