    Description

An interesting lot of non-regal halfpennies. One George II & Three George III Halfpennies. Dated 1733 ? (8.36 grams). Reverse shows die failure in several places and only tops of date show. 1772 ? (6.36 grams). Thin planchet. This date is an educated guess as the last digit's top is very weak. 1773 (8.45 grams). Strong date and countermarked with a "D". 1775 (5.72 grams). Very thin planchet. This coin is countermarked "IC" and comes with a previous owners paper 2x2 describing the coin as RR. All four are of a type used in the original 13 colonies and described in the United States Coins, Red Book. Worn but still identifiable as to type and with the characteristics noted.
