here I am offering, a harder to find, Metal Airplane, in used but good condition in its original box.

Moveable controls, clockwork / wind-up engine.
Canopy opens.
This tri-motor airplane is a re-make of a tin-plate clockwork kit originally sold by Märklin in 1936.
This #1980 airplane was sold fully assembled in the tri-motor configuration.
The model features a number of impressive mechanical features, including all three propellers powered by a single wind-up clockwork motor via a spiral transmission. The elevator, landing flaps and rudder are movable, Canopy can be opened.
Wing span is approx. 22 inches ( approx. 56 cm)
length approx. 14 1/2" inches (approx. 37 cm)
weight approx 3.1 lbs (approx 1,4 kg)

Included in this lot: Junkers Ju 52 airplane, wind-up key, Certificate + manual in german, 2 piece styrofoam inner box (base and lid),
outer white box, all as
you see on the pictures.
It was manufactured on a one-time-only basis in 1996 and was only sold through Märklin's MHI dealer network.
!! PLEASE READ: After the airplane rested over 25 years in its box, I took it out to test the clockwork function: currently only 2 (left and center) of 3 propellers spinning whem clockwork is released. !!
When turning left or center propeller by hand, all three propellers are turning, so the interconnection via the spiral spring seams to work. I am not a precision mechanic so I do not want to trouble shoot it. May be you (the buyer) is an expert or you know somebody who might be able to get the right propeller spinng too when the clockwork is released.
May be it is only an intermittant issue after its "long term parking" in its styrofoam "shelter"...may be a little lube will do?
All other functions top!
In used but good condition, never played with, in original box which is faded slightly on the bottom third, otherwise box is showing normal wear from storage!
