World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts
This is the old Brownie TWO-finger salute that was used from the beginning in the 1920s up to the 1970s.  The Brownies were finally allowed to be "
Brownie
Girl Scouts"
and use the THREE-finger salute in the late 1970s.   This pin is sometimes called a Brownie Promise Pin, but it was
actually issued by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts or WAGGGS.
This pin was first available in this PAINTED style in 1955.  These pins are more plentiful than the later issued - enamel type - but most of these early pins have chips in the background blue paint.
This pin that is offered has no chips in the background, and thus are in Excellent, New Condition and
on the Original Card
.  I guarantee that the number on this card is the same as is in the Girl Scout Catalogs. (
Notice that the card is not crispy new,
but the pin is perfect.)  Excellent gift for the Collector or a surprise to your Brownie Leader.  I have these pins in Excellent condition but without the card for less money in my store.  Click on PINS to see them.
