Postwar Tootsietoy #5698 Diecast 5-Piece Airplane Set in Original Box

Description

Nice postwar Tootsietoy 5-piece die-cast #5698 Airplane Set in a pretty solid original box. Includes a single prop, V-tail yellow passenger plane, and 4 different jets including a dual-tail wedge-wing red and silver jet that is the largest of the group with a wingspan of about 4 inches. Only 3 of the planes came out of the insert easily. I did not want to force the other 2 out of the insert and risk damaging the insert. No breaks to the castings that I can see. Some minor paint loss and flaking as shown by the photos. Planes are Ex. plus to Like New. The insert has a little fraying, minor tearing and edge wear. The main part of the box has some skinning along with some tape repairs to the insides of at least 3 of the corners. As pictured in the photos, the top flap of the box is a little worn with edge wear, creasing, skinning and some tearing leading out from the display flap of the box lid out to the edges of the lid. I'm not a Tootsie expert so please examine the photos carefully for originality and condition.
In an effort to be fair to all bidders, I do not end auction-style listings early including based on Buy it Now offers or requests from buyers. So please do not ask me to do so. Thanks for your cooperation in this regard.

Shipping
: I will ship to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. But the cost of shipping to those locations will be more than the quoted shipping price and bidders who live there should contact me prior to the end of the auction for a shipping quote. I will always combine shipping if you purchase multiple lots.
Please note that due to COVID my stated handling time for shipping is 5 days after receiving cleared payment from the buyer. However, I try to ship within 3 days of receiving cleared payment and do so most of the time. If for some reason you cannot wait 5 days before your item is shipped, please do not bid on my items.
Returns
: I will gladly refund your money if I make a mistake in describing something. But please make sure you really want the item before you bid. I do not give returns if a buyer simply changes his or her mind, deciding after the fact that they don't want an item.
