Description
I believe I was given this pin to commemmorate the 10 years I spent leading Both my daughters' troops! I actually had to call Connecticut Girl Scouts because I didn't know what the pin was; it's been almost 25 years. Here's what I was told:
Girl Scouts of CT Trails Council (which no longer exists) had a leader who epitomized what the council felt were the traits of a girl scout leader. These words are spoken when the award is presented to the recipient (or along these lines):
" In recognition of your maintaining the mission of Girl Scouting in assisting young women to fulfill their potential and for your many years of leadership."
The leader's nickname was "Dindy". I couldn't find out what the seagull was representative of. The pin was very much an honor and only awarded once a year.
