"...While much of the world is engaged in manslaughter and destruction, we have been privileged to build, sow and plant in tranquility. But in the course of the building, we were united with the souls of our brothers who are being led every day for burial in all parts of the world.
Open graves stood before our eyes, graves of many and graves of individuals.
Tombs those comrades who fell in the Jewish communities in Europe.
We mourn the loss of these souls, with sorrow and grief we mention them.
And we express words without giving ourselves full account of their profound significance. With a quiet heart we say that they are walking on their way, in the path of heroism. Millions have fallen and many still fall. Urim are shaded by fire, they hope and believe that the sun will rise again, for there will be a rebirth for them and for us.
The man we had as a guide on our way, Arthur Ruppin, died this year. The man of science and action, the nobleman of spirit, the builder and teacher of all our settlements. I think we should mention his name with a feeling of gratitude and awe. His memory will be preserved in our hearts.

Background:
The first farms of Beit Yitzhak were established in 1939 by the "Rasko" company for a group of immigrants from Germany; The settlement was named after the banker and Zionist leader Yitzhak Feuering. The residents developed a diverse farm that included fruit trees, vines, bananas, fodder, oil plants, peanuts, chicken coops and dairy cowshed.
