Tesco has been leading the Japanese electric guitar industry together with Gya Tone since the end of World War II, starting from the establishment of Aoi Sonic Laboratory in 1946 until the end of the industry in 1977.
The BS-101 in stock this time has a small, thin solid body, and the masterpiece "Gold Foil" pickup gives off a vintage Japanese sound that is full of inertness. Plus! The short scale neck and the very light body are suitable for everyone from the weak young lady to the elderly person who has been suffering from a bad back lately. By the way, Aya Fujita of "Nekurai Talkie" is also using this guitar.
I've already checked the rod allowance, and I don't feel any twist in the neck. The frets are originally of a fairly low type, but there are no hindrances to playing even in its current state. The string height is a little high, 3.0mm on the 1st string and 3.2mm on the 4th string at the 12th fret. As usual, the tone effect is very gentle. As usual, the tone effect is mild enough to make you ask, "Did it change? The setting is reminiscent of those days. The stripped aluminum pickguard gives it a nice airy sound, especially on the open strings, as if a phaser is being applied. It's a nice coloring that exquisitely combines Tesco's unique depth and cuteness. The Tesco guitar used by Mr. Nakajin of Sekai no Owari is also in this color.
It's missing the logo, serial license plate, and bridge cover. There is a repair mark near the 12th fret on the back of the neck, which seems to be putty. There are also some cracks in the paint on the top and back of the head (not on the wood). The pot has been replaced with CTS, and the jack has been replaced with Switchcraft. Please be careful of the screws as they are easily broken due to age. The BS-101 is adorable and cute, but it's still a bass. Please consider it as soon as possible.
