    Description

Very nice and affordable strong date 1788 Connecticut Copper, colonial America coin. The coin was apparently cleaned by someone a long time ago as it has a bright surface that obviously wouldn't exist on any such circulated coin. But it's a bargain and a highly collectible piece. The date is exceptionally strong; see photos.
We've acquired a very nice old stash of early American type coins and as a prelude to our large September 1 annual sale of several hundred items, we're offering a few of these coins at "pre-sale sale" prices. Follow our listings on Ebay for more information on the 9/1 sale, both fixed price and auction lots.
The sale will include a wide range of world's fair and expo medals and ephemera, including a large group from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and the earliest of fairs, the Crystal Palaces of 1851 (London) and 1853 (New York); a terrific Eastman College collection, including a full-run of fractional currency; type coins; much more, and very heavy toward medals, tokens and coins.
