    Description

This is one of the eight new Cadette Challenge pins earned by girls on their way to a First Class recognition.  It was introduced in 1972 in a pamphlet with a new, flexible program.  It was still available until 1982, even after the new joint Cadette/Senior program was introduced.  Because it was only available for a short time it is very hard to find.
The pin is a 5/8" clutch back pin with a round metal rim.  On its face it has the name of the challenge, a trefoil, and a Turquoise ribbon printed on white.
This example was in a box of loose Girl Scout things.  I don't know if it was ever used.  The face is clean.  The clutch back  pin works.  No card.
