From information on the Girl Scout online museum, this is classified as a type 6 pin. Should you care to look for reference.
However, this pin is anomalous to it’s class in that it is not magnetic. After 1942, they began mixing steel back into the pins thus making it more magnetic—therefore, those that do not contain steel that were produced after 1942 are more rare.
There are 7 arrows on the end of the eagle which also dates the piece to the this particular style; the simple hallmark of ‘R’ is also indicative of the time period, as well as the simple hook closure.
